New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The opposition may soon bring a no-confidence motion against Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, as per sources. Opposition parties have reportedly begun internal discussions and preparations in this direction. The Budget Session of Parliament has remained turbulent from the very beginning, with repeated disruptions affecting the smooth functioning of the House.

After the President’s address, discussions on the motion of thanks were followed by continuous interruptions in the Lok Sabha proceedings. Due to the persistent uproar, the Speaker was compelled to adjourn the House multiple times over the past several days.
