Meerut (The Uttam Hindu): The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (UP ATS) has busted a dreaded terrorist network in Meerut and surrounding areas, which has direct links to Pakistan. The exposure of this network has given security agencies sleepless nights. Investigations have revealed that these terrorists were using Hindu guise to evade security agencies. Their masters sitting in Pakistan had given strict orders to their henchmen to lure local Hindu youth into joining them and use them for reconnaissance of sensitive places, so that no one would have any suspicion.

Ghazwa-e-Hind's dreadful mission and code name

The arrested prime accused, Shakib, has made several shocking revelations during interrogation. He was in direct contact with handlers based in Pakistan and was tasked with carrying out the Ghazwa-e-Hind agenda. The handlers warned them to be prepared if India launched an operation and ensure the mission was not a failure. To carry out this nefarious plot, Shakib lured two Hindu youths, Vikas and Lokesh, into joining him. To conceal their identities, Lokesh was given the code name Salim, and Vikas was given the code name Zahid.

Hindu identity was exploited, military bases were targeted

The terrorists cleverly exploited Lokesh's Hindu identity. Shakib used Lokesh to conduct reconnaissance of religious and sensitive sites where the presence of a person from a particular community could arouse suspicion. Because of his Hindu identity, Lokesh easily evaded security checks and reconnoitered many important installations. The ATS investigation revealed that Pakistani handlers would send Google locations, and these operatives would go there, record videos, and send them back to Pakistan. In exchange for this dangerous work, they were heavily funded from abroad.

Conspiracy links to Dubai, youth being brainwashed

This terrorist network's links extend not only to Pakistan but also to Dubai. Investigations have revealed the crucial role of a man named Aqib, who, based in Dubai, served as a bridge between Pakistani handlers and Shakib. Aqib was radicalizing and brainwashing young people through social media platforms like Instagram and Telegram. He incited them to violence by sharing videos of weapons like the AK-47 and inflammatory content. Uttar Pradesh ADG (Law and Order) Amitabh Yash stated that an FIR has been filed against Aqib and further legal action has been initiated.

A new and dangerous pattern of hybrid terrorism in UP

Security agencies believe this is not an isolated incident, but rather a new and dangerous pattern of hybrid terrorism is emerging in Uttar Pradesh. In this, criminals conceal their true religious and social identities and carry out attacks. Recently, the ATS arrested BDS student Haris Ali, who was spreading ISIS ideology through encrypted apps, taking instructions from Pakistan. Following these revelations, security agencies have been put on full alert and raids have been intensified to root out this entire network.
