Jammu (The Uttam Hindu): A commotion erupted on Sunday morning along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district when a Pakistani drone appeared to be attempting to infiltrate Indian territory. Upon spotting the suspicious drone hovering in the sky over the Digwar area, alert Indian Army soldiers quickly aimed their guns. The soldiers opened rapid fire, aiming to shoot it down, causing panic within the enemy camp.
The drone survived a hail of bullets, and a thorough search operation continued
According to officials, alert soldiers stationed at a forward post spotted the enemy drone around 6:10 am. They fired more than a dozen rounds to destroy it. However, the drone narrowly escaped the Indian Army's intense fire and fled back towards Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Immediately following the incident, a massive search operation was launched in the area to determine if the drone had dropped any weapons or narcotics into the valley.
Second nefarious plot in three days, border on high alert
Pakistan is undeterred by its nefarious activities. This is the second time in just three days that such drone activity has been detected from across the border, forcing Indian troops to open fire. Earlier, on February 27th, soldiers in the same area thwarted a suspected Pakistani drone by firing on it. In light of these continued infiltration attempts, the entire Line of Control has been put on high alert, and soldiers are keeping a close watch on every movement.
