Big Industrialist Gopal Khemka Shot Dead Outside Home; Son Was Murdered 6 Years Ago

Patna (The Uttam Hindu): A sensational incident took place in Bihar’s capital Patna on Friday night, where well-known businessman Gopal Khemka was shot dead in the Gandhi Maidan police station area. The incident occurred around 11 p.m. on July 4. Big industrialist Gopal Khemka murdered; bike-riding criminals shot him in the head; his son was also murdered 6 years ago:

According to the information received, as soon as Gopal Khemka got out of his car near his apartment close to Panas Hotel, unidentified assailants opened fire on him. He died on the spot. Upon receiving the information, Gandhi Maidan police arrived at the scene, took the body into custody, and sent it for post-mortem. The police have sealed the crime scene and recovered a bullet and an empty cartridge.

Police said an investigation into the incident has begun and efforts to catch the accused are ongoing. Patna SP Diksha said, “Around 11 p.m. on July 4, businessman Gopal Khemka was shot dead in the southern area of Gandhi Maidan. The crime scene has been secured, and the criminals will be arrested soon.”

Gopal Khemka was one of Patna’s prominent businessmen and also the owner of Magadh Hospital. Six years ago, his son Gunjan Khemka was also shot dead by criminals in the industrial area of Vaishali district’s police jurisdiction. At that time, too, the incident caused a huge uproar. Now once again, the morale of criminals in Patna seems high, creating an atmosphere of fear among the city’s business community.
