Mumbai (The Uttam Hindu): High-voltage drama was witnessed on Thursday on IndiGo's international flight (6E 1085) from Mumbai to Krabi, Thailand. The anger of passengers waiting at the airport for hours reached its peak when the pilot of the plane flatly refused to fly the plane, citing the expiry of his 'Flight Duty Time Limit' (FDTL). Following this announcement, chaos broke out inside the flight and a heated argument broke out between the cabin crew and passengers. The situation became so bad that an angry passenger was seen kicking the exit door and using abusive language against the pilot. The video of this incident is now going viral on social media.

' Why are you hiding like a rat?'

According to data from flight tracking website Flightradar24, the flight was scheduled to depart from Mumbai at 4:05 am, but remained grounded for over three hours. The flight, which was scheduled to arrive in Krabi at 10 am, arrived around 1 pm. Angry passengers surrounded the crew members due to the delay. In the viral video, a passenger is heard shouting, asking the crew member, "Why is the pilot hiding like a rat?" Passengers were wondering who would cover the loss of their holiday plans and trip.

Two passengers were taken off and handed over to the police

Following the uproar, IndiGo Airlines issued an official statement clarifying the situation. A spokesperson stated that the delay was due to the late arrival of an incoming flight and air traffic congestion, resulting in the pilot's duty time being over. The airline took strict action, stating that two passengers behaved inappropriately while waiting and were declared unruly. As per security protocols, the two passengers were removed from the flight and handed over to security agencies for further action. IndiGo apologized for the inconvenience caused to other passengers.
