PM Modi Waves Gamchha, Bows to Crowd at Nitish Kumar’s Oath Ceremony in Patna

Patna (The Uttam Hindu): Nitish Kumar created history on Thursday by taking oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar for the 10th time. At the grand ceremony held at Gandhi Maidan, Governor Arif Mohammad Khan administered the oath of office and secrecy. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President JP Nadda and Chief Ministers of several states were present at the event.
A special moment came when PM Modi showcased his signature desi style once again. After the ceremony ended, he waved his traditional gamchha for a while, which immediately energized the crowd. People at the venue cheered loudly and expressed their support. PM Modi also bowed multiple times before the public to express gratitude and respect.
Earlier on the stage, PM Modi and CM Nitish Kumar were seen speaking continuously and appeared enthusiastic after the massive election victory. During campaigning, PM Modi had referred to Nitish Kumar as his brother, assuring women voters that the “two brothers” would continue working for their welfare, prosperity and dignity. PM Modi’s Bihar-style gamchha gesture was widely appreciated even during the election rallies.
Bihar voters strongly supported this alliance, giving the NDA a massive mandate. Along with CM Nitish Kumar, Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha took oath as Deputy Chief Ministers. A total of 26 ministers were sworn in, including three women. The new cabinet also features several fresh faces.
