Rs 3 Lakh Bounty Gangster Romil Vohra Killed in Delhi Police Encounter

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): A notorious gangster with a bounty of Rs 3 lakh on his head was killed in a police encounter in Delhi's Bhati Mines area. Romil Vohra, an active member of the Kala Rana-Noni Rana gang, had multiple cases registered against him, including murder and extortion. The gang is infamous for its crimes in Haryana, Delhi and surrounding areas.
According to the police, the Special Cell of Delhi Police and Haryana STF were tracking Vohra's activities and received a tip-off about his location. When the police tried to surround him, Vohra opened fire and attempted to escape. The police retaliated and Vohra was seriously injured and died on the spot.
Two policemen, an inspector and a constable, were injured in the encounter but are stable. The bulletproof jackets they were wearing helped save their lives as the bullets grazed them.
Vohra's criminal history includes being the main accused in the murder of liquor businessman Shantanu in Kurukshetra, Haryana and killing four people in a single incident in Yamunanagar last year. The police have tightened their grip on the Kala Rana gang and are keeping a close watch on its other members to control crime and restore peace in the area.
