Prashant Kishor donates entire wealth, except Delhi home to Jan Suraaj party after Bihar election defeat

Patna/Champaran (The Uttam Hindu): After contesting 238 seats in the Bihar Assembly elections and losing all of them, Jan Suraj Party (JSP) founder Prashant Kishor has made a major and emotional announcement. After breaking a 24-hour "atonement fast" for his defeat at the Gandhi Ashram in Champaran, PK announced that he was donating all his assets to keep the party afloat.
Prashant Kishor stated that the party needs resources to run. In light of this, he has decided to donate all his hard-earned movable and immovable assets over the past 20 years to the Jan Suraj Party. He has retained only one house in Delhi for his family. Furthermore, PK has pledged to donate 90 percent of his consultancy income to the party fund for the next five years.
To make the party's funding transparent and people-based, Prashant Kishor has appealed to the public to donate at least 1,000 rupees annually. He stated sternly that the time for struggle has begun, and that in the future, he will only meet with those who contribute at least 1,000 rupees to Jan Suraj.
Jan Suraj will hit the streets again from January 15th. Prashant Kishore stated that the party will launch a fresh campaign in Bihar from January 15th. This time, the target will be the state government's "Chief Minister Women's Employment Scheme." PK said, "Jan Suraj workers will go door-to-door in 118,000 wards across the state. Nearly 1.5 crore women in Bihar will be asked to fill out the scheme's forms."
PK argues that there were no conditions for giving Rs 10,000 at the time of elections, but now the officials are imposing conditions for giving Rs 2 lakh.
Prashant Kishore said, "We will pressure the government by getting the forms filled out. Either the women receive the promised 2 lakh rupees, or they will learn the consequences of accidentally selling their vote."
