Punjab Police Foils Terror Plot: 3 Babbar Khalsa Men Held, Arms Recovered

Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): Punjab Police's State Special Operation Cell Mohali has achieved success. The cell has arrested three accused belonging to the Pakistani ISI-backed Babbar Khalsa International terrorist network. Punjab Police DGP Gaurav Yadav gave this information by posting on his social media account. He said that two hand grenades, a Glock pistol and ammunition were recovered from the arrested people.

Police claimed that the accused were planning to attack police bases and carry out target killings in Amritsar. With their arrest, a major terror plot has been foiled. This module was being run by UK-based Nishan Singh and Pakistan-based terrorist Harvinder Rinda. The arrested accused have been identified as Sehajpal Singh and Vikramjit Singh. Both are residents of Ramdas in Amritsar rural. While one of the accused is also a juvenile. Information has also revealed that they had planned to attack police stations in Punjab. At present, investigation is being done in this matter.
