Rahul Gandhi to Provide Education Support to 22 Children Orphaned in Pakistan Shelling

Srinagar (The Uttam Hindu): Senior Congress leader and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi has decided to adopt 22 children who lost their parents in the Pakistani shelling during Operation Sindoor in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district. Gandhi will bear the total cost of education for these children until they complete their graduation.
The decision was made after Gandhi visited Poonch on May 24 and directed party leaders to identify children who had lost their parents in the shelling. A total of 22 children were identified, and their list was cross-checked with the administration.
The children had lost their sole breadwinners in the cross-border shelling and had no one to take care of them. The first installment of assistance will be released to the children for their education in Poonch.
Gandhi's initiative aims to provide support to these children and ensure they receive the education they deserve. The Congress party will work towards implementing this initiative and providing the necessary assistance to the children.
