Rahul Gandhi is far from facts, playing hit-and-run politics: Anurag Singh Thakur

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Former Union Minister, senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and MP, Shri Anurag Thakur, addressed an important press conference at the BJP's Central Office in New Delhi on Thursday. He launched a scathing attack on Rahul Gandhi and the Congress Party, exposing Rahul Gandhi's false claims one by one. Addressing the press conference, Mr. Anurag Singh Thakur dismissed Rahul Gandhi's allegations against the Election Commission as false, stating that from Rafale to "Chowkidar Chor Hai" and from Savarkar to RSS-related issues, Rahul Gandhi has been reprimanded by the court and forced to apologize multiple times. Rahul Gandhi's "hit-and-run" attitude of throwing mud and running away was evident in today's press conference as well.

Mr. Anurag Singh Thakur stated that the frustration and disappointment of a leader under whose leadership the Congress Party has lost nearly 90 elections is growing day by day. Despite electoral defeats and public rejection, he has embraced the politics of accusations, but when asked to substantiate his allegations, he turns his back and runs. When asked to provide an affidavit, he denies it. Making false and baseless allegations has become a habit for Rahul Gandhi. This has become a pattern for him, where he repeatedly makes false and baseless allegations, later apologizes, and is reprimanded by the court. Whether it's the Rafale case, the "Chowkidar Chor Hai" allegation, issues related to Savarkar and the RSS, or the Pegasus case, Rahul Gandhi has been reprimanded by the court every time. He's had to apologize multiple times, only to flee after hurling mud. This "hit-and-run" approach was also evident in today's press conference. The claim of detonating a hydrogen bomb turned out to be a bluff and a dud.

The senior BJP MP said that the Election Commission has clearly stated that no vote can be deleted or erased online by any ordinary citizen. No vote can be deleted or erased without hearing the affected person. Some unsuccessful attempts were made in 2023, but they failed. The Election Commission itself ordered the registration of FIRs and investigations into these cases. The Election Commission has already provided mobile numbers and IP addresses. If all this data is available, what has the CID of the Congress-ruled state of Karnataka done so far? According to records, the Aland Assembly constituency was won by a Congress candidate by 10,348 votes in 2023. So, did Rahul Gandhi and the Congress achieve victory by stealing votes?

Mr. Anurag Singh Thakur said that Rahul Gandhi's frustration and disappointment are growing day by day due to election after election defeat and public rejection. Rahul Gandhi has made accusations his hallmark, and when asked to authenticate his own allegations, he turns his back and runs away. What Rahul Gandhi said today was a self-destructive bomb, declaring that he wasn't coming to save democracy. Is he preparing to destroy democracy? Making false and baseless accusations, repeatedly accusing constitutional institutions, and the Election Commission—sometimes targeting EVMs, VVPATs, election results, and sometimes using toolkits—has this become a habit for him regarding India's democracy and constitutional institutions? What does the Congress Party want?

The former Union Minister said that former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi misused power and officials to gain electoral advantage, but the court showed her the right path. The Lok Sabha elections were not postponed after Rajiv Gandhi's assassination. If the elections had been postponed for a month, which party did the then Election Commission benefit? Which party appointed Rama Devi, M.S. Gill, T.N. Shashan and other Election Commissioners, and which party did they later return to? All of them are in the Congress Party. Rahul Gandhi's repeated efforts are to attack the impartiality of India's impartial Election Commission and undermine democracy. Rahul Gandhi tries to mislead people, trying to create a situation in India similar to the one that developed in Bangladesh and Nepal, but the people of the country will not fall for his deception. Another example has recently emerged in the country: the Karnataka High Court annulled the 2023 Malur Assembly elections, which the Congress won by embezzling votes. The court ruled in favor of BJP candidate Manjunath Gowda, stating that serious irregularities occurred during the vote count in the Malur Assembly constituency. Did Congress win the seat through manipulation?

The BJP MP said that Rahul Gandhi must answer. Referring to the Congress Party and the Election Commissioners of the time, he said that when Naveen Chawla was appointed, the then Chief Election Commissioner made allegations and wrote to the President alleging that Chawla was leaking sensitive and confidential information. The MP questioned the allegations.

It was pointed out that when Rahul Gandhi repeatedly made allegations and went to court, he had to apologize repeatedly and was even reprimanded by the court. Is this fear the reason Rahul Gandhi is not submitting an affidavit? Why didn't he submit an affidavit despite repeated media inquiries? He came to make a splash, but only created a drama and left. If his arguments had merit, why didn't he go to court? The Election Commission repeatedly asked for evidence, but he failed to provide any and continued to make false allegations. Weakening constitutional institutions is a major conspiracy by the Congress Party and opposition leader Rahul Gandhi. Is this being done solely to protect the votes of infiltrators?

Mr. Anurag Singh Thakur said that Rahul Gandhi speaks of SC, ST, OBC, and minority communities, but attempts to diminish their voting power. Is protecting the votes of infiltrators the fundamental objective of Congress politics? Is this his and the Congress Party's true agenda: to protect infiltrators and ensure their voting rights, while diminishing the voting power of the country's true citizens? Rahul Gandhi's statements have repeatedly made it clear that he is in league with infiltrators and wants to weaken the votes of the country's SC, ST, OBC, and minority communities. The allegations made by Rahul Gandhi require an answer. Were 6,000 votes deleted? The three names Rahul Gandhi mentioned in the press conference are still valid voters; their names have not been removed from the voter list. Did Congress win the seats won by Congress MLAs like B.R. Patil by stealing votes? Rahul Gandhi must stop spreading anarchy and conspiring against democracy. The fundamental purpose of his politics is to play the "victim card" and weaken democracy.

The BJP MP said that Rahul Gandhi does not provide affidavits, does not present evidence, and only makes allegations. This means that Congress has no faith in Indian democracy and constitutional institutions. Their sole aim is to spread anarchy, create chaos, and destabilize the country, and they did all this through the toolkit gang. No matter how much effort Congress makes, the Bharatiya Janata Party will take every step to strengthen India's democracy and expose the infiltrators whose votes Rahul Gandhi and Congress are trying to protect. He said that Congress's politics of protecting infiltrators has already been exposed and will continue to be exposed.
