New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu):Railways has made changes in the rules regarding recruitment examinations. According to the rules, now candidates can appear in any railway examination with religious symbols. Railways has issued a notification regarding this.

Railway has said that candidates can wear religious symbols like Kalava or Kada or turban in their hands and go to the examination center. This rule will be applicable only in railway exams, because railway has currently issued a notification regarding this only. Actually, earlier railway had not given permission to wear religious symbols in the exam because there was a fear that a candidate may hide any kind of electronic gadget in it and the fairness of the exam may be affected. However, now keeping in mind the faith of the candidates, railway has removed this ban.

According to the rule, now candidates belonging to any religion can go to the examination center wearing their religious symbols like turban, hijab, kada and cross locket etc. However, with this change, the Railways has also clarified that candidates will be allowed to go with symbols related to any religion only if they do not create any problem in the security system, because the checking process at the examination centers will be the same as before and the verification of the candidates will also be done accordingly. Railway spokesperson Deepil Kumar said that many efforts have been made to improve the railway examination, in which the annual calendar was released for the first time in the year 2024 for the reinstatement of Group-C. We released the annual calendar for the recruitment of Assistant Loco Pilot, Technician and Level One. Apart from this, the rule has also been implemented that the examination center of the students will be organized within a radius of 250 km and if space is not found at the center, then the examination center will be allotted in exceptional circumstances within a radius of 500 km. Apart from this, all the examination centres will have 100% CCTV.

For identification of the candidates, it has been decided to match the face with the help of real time face matching with the artificial intelligence based system. Apart from this, it has also been decided to verify the face through KYC. In the railway recruitment process, the facility of one time registration has been provided on the website and separate features have been made available for the Divyangjans who cannot hear or see.
