Ram temple movement leader Dr. Ram Vilas Vedanti dies, funeral in Ayodhya tomorrow

Ayodhya (The Uttam Hindu): Dr. Ram Vilas Vedanti, one of the main pillars of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mukti Andolan and former Bharatiya Janata Party MP, passed away on Monday afternoon. The 67-year-old Vedanti breathed his last at the Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh. As soon as the news of his demise was received, a wave of mourning spread among the saint community and political circles. His body is being brought to Ayodhya for the last darshan, where he will be given a water burial in the Saryu river on Tuesday as per Vedic tradition.
Dr. Vedanti had been in Rewa for the past two days for a Ram Katha. On Sunday, he suddenly suffered a serious urinary incontinence (urinary incontinence), after which he was rushed to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital. Seeing his condition worsen, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav immediately arranged for him to be airlifted to Bhopal for better treatment, but due to bad weather and low visibility, the flight could not take off, and he had to be kept back at the Rewa hospital.
He suffered a heart attack during treatment on Sunday midnight. A second heart attack on Monday morning worsened his condition. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was constantly receiving health updates from the hospital management. Plans were made to shift him to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram, but doctors refused to allow him to be airlifted due to his unstable condition. Despite all efforts, he passed away around 12:30 pm on Monday afternoon.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Dr. Vedanti, calling it an irreparable loss to Sanatan Dharma and the spiritual world. CM Yogi said that his contributions to the Ram Temple movement and his life of sacrifice will always inspire. His passing marks the end of an era. Praying for the peace of the departed soul, the Chief Minister expressed his condolences to the bereaved followers.
