Ayodhya (The Uttam Hindu): The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has taken a major decision in the alleged Ram Temple donation theft case by accepting the resignations of General Secretary Champat Rai and trustee Anil Mishra. The decision was taken unanimously during a crucial Trust meeting held on Monday. Both leaders had stepped down after the SIT began investigating the case, and the Trust has now formally approved their resignations.

The Trust has appointed trustee Krishna Mohan as the new General Secretary. Krishna Mohan was the complainant who lodged the FIR in the donation theft case, and members said restoring public trust in the temple administration was the top priority. During the meeting, concerns were raised over the impact of the controversy on the temple's reputation with members stressing the need for transparency and accountability.

Champat Rai and Anil Mishra did not participate in the meeting where their resignations were accepted, while Gopal Rao was also reportedly not allowed to attend. The meeting was attended by Trust President Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, Treasurer Swami Govind Dev Giri, Mahant Dinendra Das, Kameshwar Chaupal and senior Uttar Pradesh government officials. With the leadership reshuffle complete, attention is now focused on the SIT investigation and its next course of action.
