Rohini Acharya Fires Back: "I'll Quit Politics" If Kidney Donation Claims Proven False

Patna (The Uttam Hindu): Rohini Acharya, daughter of former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav and former Lok Sabha candidate from Saran, has sharply reacted for the first time to rumors circulating about her donating a kidney to her father. Hurt by the propaganda circulating on social media, Rohini has issued an open challenge to her opponents, saying that if anyone can prove that she did not donate a kidney to her father, she will forever renounce political and public life.
Releasing a statement on Wednesday, Rohini Acharya said, “I openly challenge all those with wicked thoughts and those who are encouraging such people that if anyone can prove that I have ever asked for anything for myself or anyone else or that the fact that I donated my kidney to my respected father is a lie, then I will distance myself from political and public life.”
He further said, “If those making the allegations are unable to prove their lies and propaganda, then they should also have the courage to publicly apologize to me and every mother, sister and daughter of the country and pledge not to spread derogatory things about any woman in the future.”
This isn't the first time Rohini has responded to these rumors. Earlier, on September 21st, she had posted on the social media platform X, calling them a conspiracy to tarnish her image. She wrote, "All the rumors being spread about me by trolls and those seeking to usurp the party are baseless. I have never had, do not have, and will never have any political ambitions."
In that post, he clarified that he neither wanted to run for MLA, nor Rajya Sabha membership, nor any government position. He wrote, "My self-respect, the respect and dedication to my parents, and the reputation of my family are paramount to me."
