Big Boost for Devotees: Ropeway to Connect Nainital with Kainchi Dham Soon

Nainital (The Uttam Hindu): There is good news for the tourists visiting Nainital in Uttarakhand and the devotees of Baba Neem Karauli. It is being told that soon the journey from Nainital to Kainchi Dham will be possible by ropeway. The district tourism department has prepared a proposal for this scheme and sent it to the state government, which includes route, cost, environmental impact and technical aspects.
The distance from Nainital to Kainchi Dham by road is about 17 kilometers. During the tourist season or annual fair, the problem of crowd and jam on this route increases even more. In such a situation, the ropeway project will make the journey easy and convenient for devotees and tourists.
Nainital District Magistrate Vandana Singh told IANS, "The ropeway project from Nainital to Kathgodam is already under consideration, its DPR is ready and further process is going on through UTDB. Another proposal has been sent to connect Bhawali and Kainchi Dham with ropeway. The purpose behind this is that the devotees who go here are daily visitors and they do not go there with the intention of staying there, due to which the problem of jam also increases on this route."
He said, “We have sent a ropeway proposal to the government, suggesting to conduct a trial to connect Nainital to Bhawali and Kainchi Dham through ropeway.”
Talking to media, Hotel Association President Digvijay Singh Bisht said, "Ropeway is the need of the hour for hilly areas. Everything comes to a standstill due to traffic jams on the roads and we see such situations in Kainchi Dham as well. I think that with the introduction of ropeway, we will be able to get rid of the traffic jam problem."
Let us tell you that this scheme was being demanded for a long time by the Nainital Hotel Association and local tourism businessmen. Under the project, a direct ropeway is proposed from the Snow View area of Nainital to Kainchi Dham, which will greatly benefit the devotees and local people.
