Hisar (The Uttam Hindu): A tragic incident has come to light in Haryana, where a 10th class student shot and killed another student in a minor dispute over sitting in the front seat in school. The deceased student has been identified as Dixit, a resident of Mastnath Colony. He and the accused student studied in the same school near Satrod village a year ago. The police have taken the accused student into custody and he has confessed to killing his father with his licensed gun.

According to the police, about a year ago, Dixit and his classmate had a fight over sitting in the front row of the class. After this, the family of the accused student pressured Dixit's parents to enroll him in some other school. However, citing CBSE rules, Dixit's parents expressed their inability to do so. After this, the family of the accused student changed his school.

Dixit's family said that since then the accused student had been threatening to kill him. This morning, when Dixit had gone out on his scooter to buy milk, the accused student called him. He came on a motorcycle and both of them went to the loading point of the railway station. There they again had an argument and a scuffle broke out. In anger, the accused student took out a gun from his bag and shot Dixit. The first bullet went in the air and the second bullet hit Dixit below his waist.

Hearing the gunshot, an elderly woman working nearby rushed to the spot and saw Dixit's phone ringing. The phone belonged to his mother. The elderly woman immediately informed Dixit's mother about the incident. Dixit's parents immediately rushed to the spot and took him to the hospital, but he died on the way. Later, the GRP and forensic team reached the spot and collected samples. GRP SHO Vinod Kumar said that the deceased's scooter and slippers have been found. The incident took place at a deserted place where no CCTV cameras were installed. Police are investigating the matter.
