New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): According to religious beliefs, following the principles of Vastu Shastra in daily life can help reduce many problems. Vastu guidelines related to the home and everyday items are believed to influence a person’s financial stability and mental peace. One such rule is connected with the wallet or purse, where people usually keep money and other important items.

Many people keep photographs of their parents, family members, or images of Hindu deities in their wallets. However, according to Vastu beliefs, keeping pictures of deities in a wallet is not considered auspicious. It is believed that doing so may lead to financial difficulties.

Why photos should not be kept in the wallet

Vastu experts say that instead of keeping pictures of deities in a wallet, they should be placed in a clean and sacred place. A wallet is carried everywhere and often placed in different locations, which may unintentionally lead to disrespect. Therefore, it is considered better to place such pictures in the home temple or another clean space and offer prayers there.

What is considered auspicious to keep in a wallet

According to Vastu beliefs, instead of deity images, people can keep auspicious symbols in their wallets such as a peacock feather, Akshat (rice grains), or a Shri Yantra. These items are believed to bring prosperity and positive energy.

Importance of wallet colour

Vastu also considers the colour of the wallet important. It is believed that keeping a black or dark blue wallet may have a negative impact on financial stability. Wallets in lighter or positive colours are generally considered more favourable.

Remedies to reduce financial problems

According to Vastu beliefs, keeping a small piece of turmeric in the wallet is believed to help reduce financial problems.

If someone already keeps photos of deities in their wallet, it is advised to remove them respectfully and place them in a temple or immerse them in holy flowing water, which is considered religiously appropriate.
