New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Singapore Airlines flight SQ 402, which was scheduled to fly from Singapore to Delhi, experienced a major technical malfunction at Changi Airport just before takeoff. More than 300 passengers were on board and ready to depart at 2:20 AM.

As the aircraft began moving on the runway, a serious fault was detected. The flight was immediately brought back, and all passengers were safely deboarded and taken back to the terminal. About three hours later, a replacement aircraft was arranged, and passengers finally departed for Delhi.

The new flight landed in Delhi at around 8:30 AM (Indian time) on Monday. The airline has not yet disclosed the exact nature of the technical issue in the first aircraft.
