Indore (The Uttam Hindu): Amidst the Meghalaya Police's claim that Raja Raghuvanshi's wife Sonam Raghuvanshi was involved in the murder of Raja Raghuvanshi of Indore, Madhya Pradesh in Meghalaya, Sonam's father has denied these allegations and reiterated the demand for a CBI inquiry into the case. While talking to reporters here, Sonam's father Devi Singh Raghuvanshi said that his daughter Sonam has no role in the murder of the king. She is innocent. This marriage took place with the mutual consent of both the families.

Regarding the claim of Meghalaya police in this case, he said that the police there was itself under suspicion, so they framed Sonam. Along with this, he once again demanded a CBI inquiry. He also denied having any information about how Sonam reached Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh.

In fact, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma, while giving information about this on social media this morning, said that Meghalaya Police has achieved a big success in the Raja murder case after seven days. Three murderers from Madhya Pradesh have been arrested. A woman has surrendered. The search for another murderer is on. At the same time, Meghalaya Police has claimed that Raja's wife Sonam herself is involved in the murder.

Sonam Raghuvanshi, accused of murdering Indore's transport businessman Raja Raghuvanshi in Shillong, Meghalaya, was found unconscious in a Dhaba in Nandganj police station area of Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday. Last night, at around 2:30 am, Ghazipur police reached a Dhaba in Nandganj area on information, where Sonam took a mobile phone from the Dhaba owner and called her brother Govind. Govind immediately informed an acquaintance of his in Ghazipur. As soon as the police got the information, a large force including Superintendent of Police E Raja reached the Dhaba, where Sonam Raghuvanshi was found unconscious. According to the police, Sonam is currently not in a position to talk.

Raja and Sonam got married in Indore on 11 May. After this, both of them reached Shillong on 20 May to celebrate their honeymoon. Both of them went missing there on 3 May. After a long search for both of them, Raja's body was found in a deep ditch on 2 June, while Sonam went missing. In this regard, Sonam's family also alleged that she may have been kidnapped and taken to Bangladesh. When Sonam was not found even after a long search, suspicion grew on her.
