Speeding Audi ends three lives, wedding celebrations turn into mourning

Rewa (The Uttam Hindu): A heartbreaking road accident occurred Saturday evening in Madhya Pradesh's Rewa district, turning a happy home into mourning. A speeding luxury Audi car struck two bike riders. The accident was so severe that three people on the bike died on the spot. According to police, the deceased included a father and son who had gone to distribute wedding invitations.


Was going to distribute son's wedding cards

This incident is even more tragic because the victim's family was preparing for a wedding. Raipur Karchuliyan police station in-charge Vijay Singh said the deceased have been identified as Bhagwat Vishwakarma, a resident of Chachai in Rewa district, and his younger son, Rahul. According to reports, Bhagwat's eldest son's wedding was scheduled for February 24th of this month. He, along with his younger son and another relative, were on their way to invite relatives to the wedding on a bike, but death claimed them along the way.


A terrible accident occurred on the Kosta Highway

According to police, the accident occurred on the Kosta Highway, under the Raipur Karchuliyan police station area, about eight kilometers from the city. While the men were riding their bike on Saturday evening, a speeding Audi car struck them. The impact was so severe that the bike was shattered and all three riders died on the spot.


Driver in custody, investigation underway

Police arrived at the scene as soon as they received information about the accident. Police stated that in addition to the father and son, another relative who was with them also died in the accident. Acting immediately, police have detained the driver of the Audi car. Police are currently investigating the case and the bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination. Since this incident, the deceased's village has been plunged into silence, and the family members are inconsolable.
