New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The BJP government of Delhi is now preparing to investigate the plan of installing CCTV cameras during the tenure of the Kejriwal government. The previous government had claimed to have installed a total of 2.64 lakh CCTV cameras in 70 assembly constituencies.


The problems of AAP leaders including Kejriwal may increase again, Delhi government will now investigate this scheme: According to information, about 32 thousand cameras have been found faulty. More than 15 thousand cameras have not been installed yet. The work of installing CCTV cameras was started in all 70 assembly constituencies of Delhi in the year 2018-19. CCTV cameras were installed in two phases.


A tender of Rs 427 crore was issued for the first phase and Rs 220 crore for the second phase. This work was to be completed in the year 2020. 1.40 lakh cameras were installed in the first phase. The remaining cameras were to be installed in the second phase.
