Family Suicide Shocks All: 5 Members End Life Together, Leaves Police Speechless

Ahmedabad (The Uttam Hindu): A heartbreaking incident has come to light from Ahmedabad, Gujarat on Sunday, where five members of the same family committed mass suicide by consuming poison. The deceased include husband-wife and their three innocent children. As soon as the information of the incident was received, the police reached the spot and started investigating the case.

The incident took place in Bavla area of Ahmedabad. Ahmedabad Rural SP said that five members of the same family committed suicide by drinking some poisonous liquid in their rented house. The reason for the suicide is not known yet. According to the police, all the deceased were originally residents of Dholka.

The deceased include 34-year-old Vipul Kanji Vaghela, his 26-year-old wife Sonal Vaghela, their 11-year-old elder daughter, 8-year-old son and 5-year-old younger daughter. This incident has shocked the entire area.

The police and forensic team reached the spot and took the bodies into custody and sent them for postmortem. The police team is searching the house and collecting evidence. The people living nearby and relatives are also being questioned to know the reason behind this painful step.

It is worth noting that earlier on June 8, 2025, in Mehsana district of Gujarat, a couple committed suicide by jumping into a canal along with their 9-year-old son due to financial crisis. The police also found a suicide note from their car, which mentioned financial crisis.
