Suicide Note of Software Engineer Sparks Political Storm: RSS Accused of Years of Sexual Abuse; Congress Demands Probe
Thiruvananthapuram (The Uttam Hindu): A shocking political controversy has erupted in Kerala after 26-year-old software engineer Anandu Aji from Kottayam was found dead in a Thiruvananthapuram lodge. In his suicide note, Anandu made grave allegations of sexual abuse against members of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), claiming he was repeatedly assaulted from early childhood through adulthood. The revelations have triggered outrage, with the Congress and several opposition parties demanding a high-level, impartial investigation.
Before taking his life, Anandu Aji reportedly shared a detailed suicide note on Instagram, exposing the trauma he had endured since childhood. He wrote that when his parents sent him to an RSS shakha (branch), a local RSS worker and neighbor began sexually abusing him when he was just three years old. The abuse, according to his note, continued during RSS ITC (Initial Training Camp) and OTC (Officers’ Training Camp) sessions, where he was not only harassed but also beaten with sticks.
Anandu clarified that his suicide was not related to any personal relationship issues, but rather the deep psychological scars left by his traumatic past. He revealed that he was battling Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) as a result of the prolonged abuse. In his final words, he wrote a haunting warning “Don’t befriend RSS people… I may not have proof, but my life itself is the evidence,” — expressing hope that “no other child in the world ever suffers like I did.”
Political Reactions: Congress and Left Demand Justice
The incident has quickly taken a political turn. Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra called the allegations “horrifying,” urging that the “silence surrounding such heinous crimes must be broken.” She demanded a thorough and transparent investigation. Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate also pressed for accountability from the RSS, while the party officially vowed to ensure strict punishment for those found guilty.
The Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) echoed similar sentiments, calling for an immediate probe and the arrest of the accused. The mounting political pressure has now put the focus squarely on law enforcement to determine the truth behind these explosive allegations.
