‘Suryavanshi Flag’ to Fly atop Ram Mandir; PM Modi to Hoist Flag in Grand Ceremony with 10,000 Guests

Ayodhya (The Uttam Hindu): The flag to be hoisted atop the 191-foot-high spire of the grand Ram Mandir has been finalized in terms of design, size, and color. On the auspicious occasion of Vivah Panchami, November 25, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will personally hoist this historic flag in a grand ceremony. This decision was taken during a key meeting of the religious committee of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust on Friday.
According to the Trust, the triangular saffron flag, measuring 22 feet in length and 11 feet in width, will fly atop the temple. The flag will feature the ‘Suryavanshi’ emblem symbolizing Lord Ram’s lineage and the ‘Treta Yug’ emblem, representing the temple’s divinity and historical significance.
A crucial meeting of the Trust’s religious committee was held at Vaidehi Bhavan, Janki Ghat, on Friday. Post-meeting, committee member Gopal Rao stated that detailed planning for the flag-hoisting ceremony on November 25 was undertaken. The event is expected to host 8,000–10,000 distinguished guests, with invitations to be sent after the Diwali festivities.
The meeting was attended by Trust General Secretary Champat Rai, Treasurer Govind Devgiri, Member Dr. Anil Mishra, Gopal Rao, and other senior members. Discussions also included other religious programs and rituals that will be conducted alongside the flag-hoisting ceremony.
