Srinagar (The Uttam Hindu): Panic gripped the Srinagar-Baramulla National Highway in Jammu and Kashmir this morning when security forces spotted a suspicious object on the side of the road. It is suspected that it could be an IED planted there as part of a larger conspiracy.

The soldiers immediately cordoned off the area and as a precautionary measure, stopped the movement of vehicles from both sides, resulting in a long queue of vehicles. As soon as the incident was reported, the bomb disposal squad was called to the spot. According to information, the search operation in the entire area has been intensified and the soldiers have started patrolling the surrounding areas. Earlier on February 5, an IED was also recovered from Khablan area of Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
