Dubai/New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Disastrous news has emerged from Dubai regarding India's indigenous Tejas fighter aircraft. An Indian Air Force Tejas fighter jet, displaying its power and aerobatics at the Dubai Air Show, crashed at 2:10 pm local time.

Did the pilot not eject? The video has increased the concern. The video of the accident is rapidly going viral on social media, which has shocked everyone. It is clearly visible in the video that the Tejas, which was performing stunts in the sky, suddenly loses control and rapidly comes towards the ground (nose-dive). The most worrying thing is that in the video the pilot is not seen ejecting from the plane. Due to this, the fears about the safety of the pilot have increased. Eyewitnesses present at the spot said that before crashing, the plane was seen falling straight downwards for a distance of about a mile.

The crash of the Tejas, manufactured by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), is being considered a major setback for India. The Indian government had been making strong efforts to introduce the Tejas to the global market and export it to other countries. This accident, which occurred at a major venue like the Dubai Air Show, could impact these efforts.

This is the second major Tejas fighter jet crash. A Tejas aircraft previously crashed in Jaisalmer, India, in 2024. The cause of the latest accident will only be determined after an investigation.
