Hyderabad (The Uttam Hindu): A spectacular sight unfolded at the closing ceremony of the Telangana Rising Global Summit on Tuesday night, where 3,000 drones created the world’s longest aerial sentence, earning a Guinness World Record. The stunning show beautifully showcased the state’s Vision 2047 ambition. The performance took place at the Emerging India Future City venue as Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy officially launched the Vision 2047 document.

Before the drone display, the spotlight was captured by a robot that walked onto the stage and handed the Vision 2047 document to the Chief Minister. This symbolic moment highlighting technology and innovation became a major talking point. Distinguished guests included former RBI Governor Duvvuri Subbarao, former Chief Economic Adviser Arvind Subramanian, NITI Aayog Vice Chairperson Suman Bery, Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra, Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi, and others.

Former British PM Tony Blair, in a virtual address, praised Telangana’s remarkable growth since its formation in 2014. He said the state has emerged as a global model in technology, agriculture, and inclusive development.

Former RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan, addressing the summit via video conferencing, said that the Vision Document places transparency, inclusion, and efficient technology at the centre of governance. He added that “effective implementation, continuous evaluation, and timely reforms will determine future progress.”

According to Arvind Subramanian, Telangana has become recognizable not only on India’s map but also as a global technology hub. He said Vision 2047 will guide the state from an IT-driven economy to a people-centric technological ecosystem. Subbarao stated that Telangana is emerging as India’s No. 1 developing state and that Hyderabad has already established itself as a global hub for pharma, biotech, and services.

NITI Aayog Vice Chairperson Suman Bery noted that Telangana has already reached the level of an upper-middle-income economy as per World Bank standards— a milestone that India aims to achieve in the next five years. He assured that “NITI Aayog will stand with Telangana at every step of its development journey.”
