New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) has successfully dismantled a terrorist module linked to Al-Qaeda in Indian Subcontinent (AQIS), arresting four individuals associated with the notorious organization founded by Osama bin Laden. The arrested terrorists, aged between 20 and 25, have been identified as:

1. Mohammad Fardeen (father: Mohammad Rais)

2. Saifullah Qureshi (father: Mohammad Rafiq)

3. Mohammad Faiq (father: Mohammad Rizwan)

4. One more accused whose name is not disclosed

Two of the arrested terrorists were apprehended in Gujarat, one in Delhi and one in Noida. According to ATS officials, these individuals were plotting major terrorist attacks in India, targeting key locations across the country. Investigation revealed that the four suspects were connected through social media apps and were in contact with AQIS handlers across the border.

Investigation and Next Steps

ATS Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Sunil Joshi stated that a thorough investigation is underway to uncover the extent of the module's operations and connections. Detailed information about the case will be shared through a press conference soon. The ATS is likely to probe the accused's financial transactions, communication networks and potential sympathizers or supporters in India.
