Lucknow/New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu)– Sohrab, the youngest of the infamous serial killer brothers from Lucknow has gone missing after being released on parole from Tihar Jail. Convicted for committing three brutal murders in a single day in 2005, Sohrab was granted parole a few days ago. However, after meeting his wife post-release, he failed to return to jail when his parole ended three days ago.

Tihar Jail authorities alerted the Delhi Police, following which the Special Cell contacted the Uttar Pradesh STF. A joint search operation is currently underway to trace the absconding convict. Sohrab and his two brothers, Salim and Rustam, all residents of Sadar Bazar in Lucknow were known for their audacious crimes and had been lodged in Tihar Jail.

The brothers had shot into notoriety after avenging the murder of their youngest sibling, Shahzade by killing his alleged murderers across three different locations in Lucknow within an hour. Over the years, they expanded their crime network to extortion, contract killings and armed robberies, including a daring daylight heist at a jewellery showroom in Delhi. The police are on high alert and multiple teams have been deployed to prevent any further criminal activity.
