Tonk District in Rajasthan witnessed a tragic incident where eight people lost their lives after drowning in the Banas River on Tuesday. According to Tonk Superintendent of Police Vikas Sangwan, a group of 11 friends, aged between 25 to 30 years, had come from Jaipur for a picnic and decided to take a bath in the river. Unfortunately, they ventured into deep water, resulting in eight fatalities. The police and administration quickly sprang into action, and three others were rescued with stable conditions. All 11 individuals were pulled out of the river and taken to the hospital, where the doctors declared eight of them dead. The exact cause of the incident is yet to be determined, but investigations are ongoing . Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma expressed his grief over the incident on Instagram. This incident comes just two days after a painful accident in Bharatpur, where a government doctor was burnt alive in his car after it hit a diagnostic center and caught fire.
