Tragedy in Raipur: Steel plant accident claims 6 lives, leaves many injured

Raipur (The Uttam Hindu) – A tragic accident occurred on Friday in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. Six workers were killed on the spot when a structure under construction at a private steel plant in Silatara collapsed. Several workers were injured, two of whom are said to be in critical condition.
Rescue operations are ongoing.
The incident occurred within the Dharsiwa police station area. Police and relief teams arrived at the scene as soon as information about the accident was received. Several workers were pulled from the debris, while it is feared that some may still be buried. Rescue teams are continuing their efforts. The bodies of the deceased workers have been sent to Narayana Hospital, while the seriously injured have been admitted to a private hospital in Devendra Nagar.
The sudden accident caused chaos in the factory premises and surrounding areas. The local administration has assured proper treatment for the injured and all possible assistance to the families of the deceased .

Minister Vishnudev Sai expressed deep condolences over the accident. Expressing condolences to the families of the deceased, he said, "I pray to God that the departed souls rest in peace and the injured recover soon."
