Sitapur (The Uttam Hindu): A heart-wrenching incident has come to light from Sitapur district of Uttar Pradesh, which has shaken everyone. In Surajpur village of Machrehta area, on Thursday morning, when a mother returned after taking a bath, she saw that her three-month-old son sleeping on the cot was missing. After the mother's scream, when the family members started looking for the child, everyone was shocked to see what was found in the water drum kept on the roof of the house.
Shivansh, the three-month-old son of Anuj Yadav, a resident of the village, was sleeping on a cot inside the house on Thursday morning. The child's mother Sarita went to take a bath after putting him to sleep. When she returned after some time, the cot was empty and the child was missing. Seeing this, she screamed and there was chaos in the house. The family members and villagers who came running after hearing the noise searched every corner of the house, but the child was not found.
While searching, when people reached the roof being constructed at the back of the house, they saw a drum filled with water kept there. As soon as they looked inside, everyone was shocked. Innocent Shivansh was found floating in the water drum. The family members immediately took him out and took him to the nearby community health center, but by then it was too late. The doctors declared the child dead.
The family has denied any enmity with anyone. They suspect monkeys entering the house. Anuj Yadav said that he did not see any monkey picking up the child, but the food grains kept in the house were scattered, which suggests that a monkey had entered the house. He suspects that the monkey picked up the child from the cot and somehow he fell into the water drum.
Villagers also say that the terror of monkeys has increased a lot in the area, but the administration is not taking any action. After this incident, there is an atmosphere of panic in the entire village and people are afraid to leave their children alone. Innocent Shivansh was the first child of the family, whose departure has brought a mountain of sorrows on the family.
