Muzaffarnagar (The Uttam Hindu): A devastating accident shook Muzaffarnagar on Wednesday morning when a high-speed car crashed into a stationary truck on the Panipat–Khatima National Highway (NH-58) near Titawi. The collision claimed six lives, including three men and three women, leaving the local community in shock.

According to reports, the car, carrying eight passengers from Faridpur (Haryana) to Haridwar, lost control due to overspeeding and crashed into a truck parked on the roadside. The impact was so severe that the car was completely mangled.

Locals rushed to the spot and pulled out the injured. Police arrived immediately and shifted the victims to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared five people dead on arrival. Two injured were referred to a higher medical center in Meerut, where one more succumbed during treatment.

In total, six people including three women and three men have lost their lives in the accident. Police have conducted preliminary formalities and initiated post-mortem procedures, while informing the families of the deceased.

This is not the first such deadly crash in Uttar Pradesh. On September 27, another major accident on the Lucknow–Agra Expressway claimed four lives when a car went out of control and rammed into workers engaged in road maintenance.
