Tragic highway accident: Five dead, woman injured as car hits tree

Solapur (The Uttam Hindu): News of a tragic road accident has emerged from Solapur, Maharashtra. A speeding car lost control and struck a roadside tree on the Solapur-Pune National Highway. Five people in the car died on the spot in this horrific accident, while a woman was seriously injured. The injured woman was immediately rushed to the hospital, where she is undergoing treatment. It is being told that all the people were going from Panvel to Akkalkot for Devdarshan. At around 12 o'clock in the night, the driver lost control of the vehicle and the car directly hit a tree. The collision was so severe that the car was badly damaged and five people died on the spot. This incident created panic in the area.

Police and rescue teams arrived at the scene upon receiving information about the incident. The injured woman was immediately admitted to a nearby hospital. According to the police, the cause of the accident is being investigated and efforts are underway to identify the deceased.

Meanwhile, another tragic road accident has occurred in Udaipur, Rajasthan. Two cars collided head-on on the Old Ahmedabad Highway early Saturday morning. Four young men were killed and six others injured. The accident occurred near Nela Talab in the Savina police station area. All the deceased were residents of Udaipur. Police are investigating the accident while ensuring treatment for the injured.
