Triple murder in mosque sparks outrage; Maulana’s wife and two daughters brutally killed

Baghpat (The Uttam Hindu): A horrific incident emerged on Saturday from Gangnauli village in the district, shocking the entire area. The wife and two innocent daughters of a mosque's imam (maulana) were brutally beaten to death. Their bodies were found in a pool of blood in their house on the upper floor of the mosque.
This triple murder occurred when the Maulana was not at home. As news of the massacre spread, panic gripped the village, and a large police force arrived at the scene.
Originally from Sunna village in Muzaffarnagar, Maulana Ibrahim was the Imam of the Gangnauli village mosque. He lived in the house above the mosque with his 32-year-old wife, Israna, five-year-old daughter, Sofia, and three-year-old daughter, Sumayya. On Saturday, when the Maulana was not at home, unknown assailants carried out this heinous massacre. The condition of the bodies of the three clearly indicated that they had been brutally beaten to death.
At the time of the incident, Maulana Ibrahim was in Deoband attending a ceremony welcoming an Afghan minister. It is believed that the attackers took advantage of his absence to carry out the attack. Upon learning of the incident, the police were informed by dialling 112, following which a police team immediately arrived at the scene.
Police have taken possession of all three bodies and sent them for post-mortem examination. Given the seriousness of the matter, senior police officers also arrived at the scene and began an investigation. This triple murder in the mosque premises has created an atmosphere of tension and fear in Gangnauli village and surrounding areas. A heavy police force has been deployed in the village and around the mosque to deal with any untoward situation. Police are currently investigating the motive behind the murders and identifying the attackers.
