Patna (The Uttam Hindu): With the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 fast approaching, both major alliances the NDA and the opposition front are still entangled in the seat-sharing puzzle. Despite public claims of unity and coordination, no official announcement has been made regarding seat distribution.

Adding to the political tension, Rashtriya Lok Morcha chief and former Union Minister Upendra Kushwaha’s recent social media post has hinted that all is not well within the NDA camp. His cryptic remarks have stirred speculation that seat-sharing talks are facing major hurdles.

Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Kushwaha wrote:

“Don’t believe in rumours. The discussion on seat distribution has not yet concluded. I don’t know how such news is circulating in the media. If someone is planting such stories, it is deceit, a betrayal. Please stay alert.”

His statement comes just hours before an NDA meeting in Delhi, where discussions on finalizing candidates and constituencies were expected. Sources say that talks between the BJP and JD(U) are ongoing, with both parties reviewing potential candidates for several key seats.

Earlier, reports suggested that LJP (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan was unhappy with the seat-sharing formula, although party insiders claim his concerns have now been addressed. However, Kushwaha’s pointed remarks have once again shaken the alliance, exposing internal strains as election dates draw closer.

According to the Election Commission, voting in Bihar will take place in two phases — November 6 across 121 constituencies in 18 districts, and November 11 in 122 constituencies across 20 districts. Vote counting will occur on November 14. With nominations for the first phase already underway, the NDA faces mounting pressure to resolve its internal disagreements before time runs out.
