UPSC CSE 2025 results out: Anuj Agnihotri secures top spot, here's the list of toppers

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the final results of the Civil Services Examination 2025. According to the results announced by the UPSC, Anuj Agnihotri topped this year's Civil Services Examination. Rajeshwari Suve M. came in second, and Akansh Dhal came in third. The results were announced based on the written examination held in August 2025 and the personality test (interview) conducted between December 2025 and February 2026.
According to the merit list released by the commission, a total of 958 candidates have been recommended for appointment to various All India and Central Services. Raghav Jhunjhunwala secured fourth place in the UPSC Civil Services, followed by Ishaan Bhatnagar in fifth place and Jinia Arora in sixth place. AR Raja Mohideen secured seventh place, Pakshal Secretary in eighth place, Aastha Jain in ninth place and Ujjwal Priyank in tenth place.
Thus, talented candidates from different states and backgrounds have made their place in the top 10. According to the Commission, a total of 958 candidates have been selected for appointment this time. These include 317 from the general category, 104 from the economically weaker section (EWS), 306 from the other backward classes, 158 from the Scheduled Castes and 73 from the Scheduled Tribes. Along with this, candidates from the disabled category have also been included in different categories. Overall, many disabled candidates in these different categories have also been selected for the civil services.
The government has informed the Commission of a total of 1,087 positions to be filled. These include 180 positions in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), 55 positions in the Indian Foreign Service, and 150 positions in the Indian Police Service (IPS). In addition, 507 Group A and 195 Group B positions will be filled through the Civil Services (Central Government) in various Central Services (Central Government) departments. Final appointments to these positions will be made in accordance with available vacancies and regulations.
The Commission also clarified that the reservation claims of the selected candidates will be examined by the relevant authorities. Furthermore, the candidacy of 348 selected candidates has been provisionally held, while the results of two candidates have been withheld.
The Commission has also set up a facilitation counter on its premises for candidates seeking any information or clarifications regarding the examination. Candidates can obtain information here from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on all working days.
