Srinagar (The Uttam Hindu)- There is news of a landslide on the famous Vaishno Devi Yatra route in Katra, Jammu and Kashmir. According to information, four devotees have been injured due to the landslide.


As soon as the information was received, the administration and NDRF team reached the spot and relief and rescue work has been started. According to the information, this accident happened when a large number of devotees were passing through the footpath to visit the Mata. Suddenly there was chaos due to the falling of heavy stones and debris. Four devotees got trapped under the debris. After giving immediate first aid, the injured have been admitted to the government hospital in Katra. Ambulance and medical team were immediately sent to the spot by the administration. At the same time, the soldiers of Jammu and Kashmir Police and Shrine Board are also engaged in relief work on the spot.


The Meteorological Department had recently issued a warning of heavy rain in the Jammu region. It is believed that due to continuous rain, the soil of the mountains became loose, which caused this landslide. The administration has appealed to the travelers to be cautious and travel only after taking information about the weather.
