Why Was My Life Ruined? Aishwarya Slams Lalu Family Over Secret Affair, Accuses Them of Using Her for Politics

Patna(The Uttam Hindu): Amid the ongoing controversy surrounding viral photos and videos of RJD leader Tej Pratap Yadav with a woman named Anushka Yadav, his estranged wife Aishwarya Rai has broken her silence, accusing the Lalu Yadav family of orchestrating a political drama ahead of the elections.

In a sharp statement to the media on Monday, Aishwarya said, “When I was being assaulted, where was their social justice? If they all knew about the affair, why was I married to him? Why was my life ruined?” She alleged that the family has been aware of Tej Pratap’s alleged extramarital relationships but remained silent until it became politically inconvenient.

Responding to Tej Pratap’s viral photos and videos, Aishwarya claimed that removing him from the house or party via social media posts is mere theatrics. “Yesterday Rabri Devi must have gone to meet him to console him. This is all a show,” she said. She also questioned her future, saying, “Tejashwi should tell me what will happen to me. I’m still his sister-in-law. Our divorce is not yet finalized.”

Senior advocate Sarvdev Singh stated that if Tej Pratap has indeed married Anushka without divorcing Aishwarya, it is a violation of the Hindu Marriage Act and legally punishable.

On Sunday, RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav announced Tej Pratap’s expulsion from the party and family for behavior he said violated their values. In response, Tej Pratap claimed his social media account had been hacked. Meanwhile, Tej’s uncle Subhash Yadav alleged that Tej was forced into marriage under family pressure and is now being used as a scapegoat to protect the family's image. As the controversy intensifies, questions over Tej Pratap’s political and legal future remain.
