Former Andhra CM Jagan Mohan Reddy Named Accused in Fatal Road Accident, Case Registered

Guntur (The Uttam Hindu): Former Andhra Cheif Minister Jagan Reddy has been named as an accuse in the recent accident where a man was ran over by the Minister's Convoy and succumbed to his injury when taken to the hospital. The footage of the scene went viral and called for action taken against the minister.


According to police, the incident took place on June 18 when Jagan Mohan Reddy's convoy was en route to pay respects to the family of a deceased party worker. The vehicle involved in the accident was identified after analyzing CCTV footage, drone visuals, and other circumstantial evidence.

A case has been registered under sections 105 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) and 49 (abetment) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The driver, Ramana Reddy and personal assistant, K Nageshwar Reddy, have been named as accused, along with senior YSRCP leaders.

The investigation is ongoing, and further action will be taken based on its outcome
