Ambedkar Nagar (The Uttam Hindu): A shocking and revealing news has emerged from the Ambedkar Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh. In a private hospital, a 12th-grade student and a BA graduate, posing as doctors, performed a cesarean section (C-section) on a pregnant woman. This horrific negligence resulted in excessive bleeding and the woman's painful death. The situation became even worse when an investigation revealed that this hospital, known for distributing death, had been operating without registration for the past five years.

She was admitted to the hospital after experiencing labor pains

According to reports, 28-year-old Priyanka, a resident of Bukiya village in the Baskhaari police station area of Ambedkar Nagar, went into labor on February 5th. Her husband, Sandeep Sharma, and other family members then admitted her to the Navjeevan Clinic on Azamgarh Road in Baskhaari. The hospital's alleged doctors operated on Priyanka, and she delivered a baby girl. However, after this unsafe C-section, Priyanka began bleeding profusely, which the fake doctors were unable to handle, and she died on the night of February 6th. Following her death, the enraged family created a ruckus by placing her body in front of the hospital, prompting the health department to take action.

Even the police were stunned to learn the truth about the 'doctors'

According to a report in the Times of India, the truth revealed during the police investigation shocked everyone. The two main accused in this horrific operation are 32-year-old Yogesh Yadav and 19-year-old Shubham Vishwakarma. Yogesh is only a BA graduate, while Shubham is a 12th-grade student. During interrogation, it was revealed that Yogesh's father previously worked as a ward boy at a Community Health Center (CHC). It was through his father's work that Yogesh learned to administer minor medications to patients. Relying on this incomplete information and his alleged influence within the health department, he, along with Shubham and a woman, opened this fake hospital, where he fearlessly performed even major surgeries.

Playing with the lives of patients for the sake of commission

This Navjeevan clinic had been operating without registration for years, right under the noses of health department officials. Following this tragic incident, the health department sealed the hospital and filed a lawsuit. The role of some local ASHA workers in this entire racket has also been exposed. It is reported that, lured by high commissions, these ASHA workers send pregnant women to fake and uncertified hospitals, putting patients' lives at risk. It is also emerging that several other such hospitals are operating openly in the area.

Police arrested both the accused

After the family members created a ruckus and a case of culpable homicide was filed, both fake doctors fled. However, on Friday, the police's "Mission Shakti" team acted swiftly and arrested the main accused, Yogesh, and his associate, Shubham, near the eastern intersection. Baskhaari police station chief Sunil Kumar Pandey stated that both accused were arrested and sent to jail after necessary questioning. Police say that the case is being thoroughly investigated and strict legal action will be taken against anyone found guilty in this entire racket.
