New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): A recent trend has seen biscuits made from millets like bajra and ragi, sweetened with jaggery and cooked in ghee, being marketed as a healthier alternative to traditional snacks. However, experts warn that these biscuits are still a source of empty calories, containing extra sugar and fat that can be detrimental to health, especially for growing children.

While an occasional treat is fine, making these biscuits a daily habit can lead to an unhealthy diet. No biscuit, regardless of its ingredients, can replace a balanced diet. It's essential to keep biscuits as an occasional indulgence, rather than a regular part of one's diet.
