Hansi (The Uttam Hindu): With proper guidance and support, even children with disabilities can become self-reliant and active members of society, said Sanjay Bhutani, North India Senior Vice President of the Media Wellbeing Association.


Speaking at the closing ceremony of a two-day awareness and training camp on inclusive education organized by the Haryana School Education Project Council at the Government Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary School, Bhutani emphasized that early identification and proper training can significantly aid the development of children with disabilities.


He noted that differently-abled individuals possess a special energy bestowed by God, which needs only to be channelled in the right direction. Bhutani urged teachers to not only focus on academics but also impart practical life lessons to students. He further advised parents to maintain patience and a positive attitude towards their children.


DPC Ramratan, attending as a special guest shared his thoughts on the importance of inclusive education. Block Education Officer Sunil Sharma spoke about the value of education and the importance of caring for children with special needs, sharing his personal teaching experiences.


School Principal Rajesh Bhadana welcomed the guests and highlighted the importance of children’s intellectual development. Dr. Sunil Kumar, a psychology lecturer and the camp’s main trainer, provided insights into the causes and diagnosis of mental disorders in children. Special educators Sangeeta, Sukesh and Vikas also played key roles in the successful conduct of the camp.
