Chandigarh(The Uttam Hindu): Punjab, an agricultural state, is now also becoming an emerging hub for the industrial sector. The Mann government has always prioritized a conducive environment for industry and business, resulting in investors enthusiastically investing in Punjab. Today, Punjab is becoming a preferred choice for investors. So far, Punjab has received investment proposals worth ₹1.35 lakh crore, which will provide employment to over 4.7 lakh people.


This achievement demonstrates that Punjab is no longer just an agricultural state but has become a new hub for industry and innovation. He said that Punjab is now home to multinational companies such as Nestlé, Claasen, Freudenberg, Cargill, Verbio, and Danone. Investors are investing generously in Punjab due to simplified documentation and a single-window system. Investors have become aware of the Punjab government's "Invest Punjab" platform, a single-window portal launched by the state government through which investors can obtain all necessary approvals within 45 days. The state's business-friendly policies and extensive investment opportunities are proving highly beneficial for investors.


Furthermore, the "Progressive Punjab Investors Summit" is held to further encourage investment in Punjab, engaging with local and foreign investors. Recently, Punjab Assembly Speaker Kultar Sandhwan met with a special Japanese delegation interested in investing in Punjab. The Punjab government has developed a clear policy framework, ensuring transparency and reliability for the convenience of industrialists. Electricity is the engine of any economy, and the Punjab government is ensuring uninterrupted power supply to industries, farmers, and consumers.


Chief Minister Mr. Bhagwant Mann urged investors to take advantage of the state's strong infrastructure, skilled human resources, and industry-friendly policies. Chief Minister Mann says that it is a matter of pride that investors from countries like America, Germany, Britain, Japan, UAE, France and Switzerland are now getting attracted towards Punjab.
