2500 electricity employees to be recruited in Punjab: CM Mann

Jalandhar (The Uttam Hindu) – Aam Aadmi Party National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann arrived in Jalandhar today. Various AAP leaders welcomed them. An investment of 5,000 crore rupees was announced to improve Punjab's power infrastructure. CM Mann also announced the recruitment of 2,500 new employees within 7 days, by October 15th. In addition, 2,000 interns will also be hired.


Arvind Kejriwal is currently on a two-day visit to Punjab. Tomorrow, he will lay the foundation stone for 3,100 new sports grounds in Bathinda, and in the afternoon, he will inaugurate an Entrepreneurship Mindset Course in Chandigarh. After inaugurating the One India 2025 National Cultural Festival at LPU, CM Mann stated that Punjab is going to be free from power cuts. He said, "We first made 300 units of electricity free. No blue or green cards are applicable. People are saving 5,000 to 10,000 rupees every month."
