A huge turnout of blood donors at the camp organized on the birthday of Ashu Sampla's late daughter Navya

Phagwara (The Uttam Hindu): At the mega blood donation camp organized by Navya Helping Hand on the twelfth birthday of Baby Navya, the late daughter of senior BJP leader Ashu Sampla, at Ashish Continental (Gupta Palace) on GT Road, Phagwara, hundreds of blood donors from Phagwara and the surrounding areas came forward to donate blood. The camp was inaugurated by Sant Gurcharan Singh Nirmal Kutia (Chhamb Wali) Pandwa. He blessed the blood donors and praised the noble work of Navya Helping Hand. Former Union Minister and former Chairman of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes, Government of India, Vijay Sampla, was also specially present to distribute certificates to the blood donors. He said that the death of his nephew Ashu Sampla's daughter Navya in 2016 at the tender age of two and a half years was a profound shock for the entire family.
Navya was given several units of blood daily for about two months during her treatment, but she could not be saved. This effort of blood donation being undertaken by Ashu Sampla and his associates in her memory is a great act of philanthropy because who knows how many more innocent lives are yearning for blood in hospitals. During this time, Ashu Sampla and Councillor Anurag Mankhand, who played a special role in the success of this camp, said that a total of 912 units of blood were collected during the camp from 9 am to 5 pm.
They said that the overwhelming response from blood donors at this camp was very encouraging. They assured that a blood donation camp would be organized on an even larger scale next year. Sampla and Mankhand also expressed their heartfelt gratitude to all the blood donors for their cooperation in making the camp a success and to the dignitaries from the area who came to offer their blessings.
