AAP leaders' 'Nasha Mukti Yatra' successfully concluded, campaign conducted in nearly 2000 villages

Chandigarh(The Uttam Hindu): The 'Nasha Mukti Yatra' campaign being run by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders, MLAs and ministers across Punjab concluded successfully on Sunday. In the last eight days, drug de-addiction awareness campaign was conducted in nearly 2000 villages and thousands of programs were organized against drug abuse.
During the campaign, dozens of panchayats formally declared themselves drug free and nearly 10 lakh people took oath to not consume drugs, boycott drug smugglers and eradicate drug abuse from their villages.
There was a lot of enthusiasm among the people of the villages towards the yatra, due to which the AAP leaders got huge support from the common people. Thousands of people participated in the campaign against drugs every day and promised to support the government's campaign.
AAP leaders appealed to the people to support the campaign 'Yuddh Nasha Viruddh' being run by the Punjab government and to participate in the campaign enthusiastically. They also appealed to the people not to cooperate with drug smugglers in any way in the legal process.
It is worth mentioning that to eradicate drug abuse from Punjab, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had started the "Nasha Mukti Yatra" to take the "Yuddh Nasha Viruddh" campaign to every village, whose aim was to reach the villages and make each and every person aware about the evils of drug abuse. Announcing this, Arvind Kejriwal had said that no social campaign can be successful unless there is participation of common people in it. Now after the successful completion of this campaign, the government's campaign against drugs will definitely get a big boost.
