Tarn Taran (The Uttam Hindu): Ahead of the Tarn Taran by-election, the Aam Aadmi Party today received a major boost when several local leaders associated with the BJP and Congress joined the party.

Baba Bikrant, who had contested the Municipal Corporation elections from the BJP, Harpreet Singh, who had contested from the Congress, and prominent local figure Manjit Kaur formally joined the Aam Aadmi Party today and xtended their support for AAP candidate Harmeet Singh Sandhu.

Member of Parliament Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer, in the presence of Cabinet Minister Dr. Ravjot, MLAs Gurdeep Randhawa, Vijay Singla, Gurpreet GP, and other senior leaders, inducted all these leaders into the party. The party leaders warmly welcomed all the new members and appreciated their decision to join the party’s ideology.

On this occasion, Meet Hayer said that the inclusion of all these leaders will further strengthen the Aam Aadmi Party. He said that the people are now embracing clean and honest politics. “We are confident that Aam Aadmi Party candidate Harmeet Singh Sandhu will win this by-election with a huge margin,” he added.

Meet Hayer further said that the people of Punjab have now completely rejected those parties that have looted and ruined Punjab for years. The Aam Aadmi Party has emerged as the people’s party by walking the path of development, transparency, and public service.

All the new members expressed full faith in the policies of the Aam Aadmi Party and in the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and pledged to contribute wholeheartedly to advancing the party’s mission of “Rangla Punjab.”
