Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): The Youth Wing of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab, under the leadership of State Working President Parminder Singh Goldy, took out a massive ‘Shukrana Yatra’ on Friday. With tremendous enthusiasm and unity among the youth, the yatra commenced from Kharar and culminated at Sri Darbar Sahib, Amritsar. During the march, youth workers of the party pledged to take the pro-people policies of the Punjab Government to every household.
Punjab Cabinet Minister Mohinder Bhagat, Jalandhar Cantt in-charge Rajwinder Kaur Thiara, District In-charge of the Planning Board Amritpal Singh, and Chairman Mangal Singh Bassi, along with several other senior leaders, participated in the yatra. Addressing the youth, the leaders described them as the real strength of the party and said that the energy of the youth is the foundation of positive change in the state.
In his address, Goldy expressed special gratitude to the party’s National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, State In-charge Manish Sisodia, State President Aman Arora, and Working President Sherry Kalsi. He said that the leadership has shown trust in the youth, and they will live up to it by making the organization stronger.
Goldy said that to connect youth with constructive activities, around 16,000 youth clubs are being established in wards and villages by the party. Through these clubs, youth will be provided opportunities in social service, sports, cultural activities, and skill development, so that they can get a better platform for future leadership.
Referring to the priorities of the state government, Goldy said that sports grounds are being developed in villages and wards so that youth stay away from social evils like drugs and become healthy and self-reliant. He appealed to the youth to come forward to realize the dream of a ‘Rangla Punjab.’
